In Praha!

Well we are now here in Praha (Prague). That was a very fun drive! As the trip goes on and on I am learning more and more about my father. I know that this trip is mostly supposed to be about getting to know my father more and more but I am finding that I am learning more and more about the family as well.

While in Praha we went on walk about to see all the great things that there are to see. Statues, bridges, buildings, good luck charms that are part of the statues. I think that the most interesting thing of all is the fact that I am seeing them partially through the eyes of my father. I can see the excitement in his eyes as he walks down memory lane of when he was here growing up.

One of the best things that we saw or did yesterday was to sit down at a pub (an Irish one at that) and I had a nice cool CIDER! OMG was it good tasting. Not wine, not water but a good CIDER! It was a warm day, humid a bit but not to much and we had been walking around a good bit. Boy was that a good drink to have. I hope that we can find some more back home.

The one thing that I noticed about Praha (Prague) is that it is like most US cities also. The people are even the same. Good people, bad people and people in between. The biggest factor of course is the language. The people here so far are very friendly though and I have yet to come across one that has been mean or rude. The other thing about it is that in the US I have had a hard time finding churches that are like the one pictured above. The ones here are very beautiful and are architectural marvels for the time that they were built. How much detail has gone into these buildings is a wonder.
