The Wolf once said that to little red riding hood. I said it not too long ago to my father. I wanted to get to know him better. This trip allowed me to do that. I have seen that he is truly my father as there are many mannerisms that he does that I have seen myself do without even growing up with him. I would also venture to say that they are genetic fully. I fully enjoyed my trip to see my family from another country. I got to learn more about them and to let them know that family is very important to me. I am ecstatic to get to know them and them to get to know me. To meet them face to face to find out a little more about them and how they interact with each other was also key for me. I think that the highlight (for me anyway) of my trip was the last supper. The last full night that I was there we all did a little part to make dinner. My wing nut cousin and I made munchies and sides but no potatoes as Stryko said he wanted to do something special with them and we were not allowed to touch them. The other wing nut was worried about them for some reason and did not want to disobey her father’s wishes so we did not do anything with the potatoes. Needless to say we did not have potatoes that night. Instead we had sausages, fish, veggies, and drinks. The greatest part for me thought was that we all did it together. We all had a part in it. Even my father’s wife (not my biological mother, someone had to hold a baby while we were cooking.) Anyhow, I had fun. I loved the camaraderie that we all shared. The fun that we got to have by doing something together. Yes we could have gone out to dinner somewhere nice like I think was originally planned but cooking together was much more of a family affair that I believe was just right. If I had to do it all over again, I would want to do that every night, I would want to enjoy the talking, the laughing and maybe even some food throwing at each other. That is the one thing that we (my wife and I) love to do at home. We love to cook for guests at our house. We love to entertain. If we could make a business out of it and not worry about any stresses that come with it then we would love it. (as long as all the bills got paid and we did have to worry about it that is.) The getting together and having fun is the best to me instead of being scattered out and about.
I know that I am jumping around a bit here and there are some random thoughts going on with this but hey. Remember the main name of the site?
