Just starting out in Slovanska!
So I have finally made it here. It took me what seemed like forever but I made it. I had a flight from RDU to Toronto which was short comparatively, then from there to Frankfurt. That flight was not so bad either. Or the flight from Frankfurt to Vienna also. What was the worst part of all of that was the part where we were delayed an hour from leaving Toronto because someone on the plain did not show up and they had to pull his luggage off the plain, then we got in an hour late to Frankfurt because of that also. Which made me miss my flight to Vienna with P. I am not sure that I would have made that flight either though considering that I had to go through two more sets of security screening with metal detectors and then immigration. After all of that I still missed my re-booked flight and then had to hall butt all the way to the other end of the airport (and Frankfurt is not a small airport)to wait in line to get on standby for a flight to Vienna. Well I was fortunate enough to make that flight and the ticket agent was very kind to me and took care of me. She bumped me up a class for free which was very kind of her and the airline. Thank you to them.
Ok, now on to some last part of my first day in Eastern Europe. All I can say is WOW! At my uncles cabin it is wonderful. I feel like I am in the movie Sound of Music. I mean just look at the picture here at top. Once we got here after the drive on the highway, I just sat out on the porch for a while just listening to the birds chirping. Very surreal, relaxing, and just breath taking. I had a smile from ear to ear while sitting out there and just looking around. This place is beautiful. I am not 100% of our plan but as I understand it we are going to spend the first day here at the cabin and in town close by (Ruzumberok) and just kind of get our travel energy back before going to Prague for a few days. Again WOW! I will have more with pictures to follow but this is all for now.
